I really could go on and on about Turbo Fire, and I'm pretty sure that I will from now till I find another workout program that keeps me motivated and fit. But I'll get on with this post before I bore you all :)
Breakfast:
2 scoops of EAS Lean 15 protein powder (in Chocolate Fudge) -
side notes:
- my amazing SIL told me about this, and swears by the Chocolate Fudge flavor. She said the Vanilla one is crap. She is right about the chocolate one, its amazing!!! I haven't tried the other one but I'm going to stick with something that I know and like.
- if taken with water it is only 100 calories, and 15g of protein
about 1 cup of strawberries
about 1 hand full of blueberries
7 ice cubes (I have my ice cubes down to a science to make it the perfect texture for me)
Put it all in the blender and it makes a delicious breakfast!!! I'll have this between 8-9am as I am getting ready for the day and out of the door, so by 12pm I am looking for lunch. Its so filling!!!
Lunch:
Dan D Doughnuts Chicken Salad Sandwich on whole wheat
(Dan D Doughnuts is a doughnut shop here in town that also makes great sandwiches. Its across the street from Geoff's old HS. He loves taking me here for our lunch dates)
1 doughnut (sorry but I can't go to a doughnut store and not have just one)
1 sweet tea
Dinner:
1 Chicken thigh roasted on the stove with seasoning (I've been using more spices to give food flavor rather than using sauces which is just extra unwanted calories)
- I put the chicken on a pan with about 2 cups of water
- I season the chicken with whatever spices I feel like, tonight it was McCormick's Grill Mates 25% less sodium in Montreal Chicken
- About 10-15 min later I flip sides and add more seasoning
- I keep flipping sides from here on out and do not add any more spices since now the water has a lot of it as well as the juices from the chicken.
- I keep putting in more water 1 cup at a time till as the chicken is cooking (its an estimated process based on how I feel that night, no science or rules at all for it)
1/3 cup of canned peas
1/3 cup of some pasta thing... haha! it was basically like a ravioli of sun dried tomatoes and basle, stuffed with cheese and mushrooms. (it was really good, PAC loved it, but Geoff and I agreed that it would have tasted better with an alfredo sauce)
Snack:
1 lemon cupcake to celebrate Geoff's home coming, and him tasting my improved cooking since he has been gone
- I have to say I picked these up at Walmart tonight when we went food shopping and they were amazing!
My workout tonight was doing my Turbo Fire Core 20 class.
My core is very weak right now. When I was younger I had a stomach like a rock! When I graduated USCG Basic Training I had a 2 pack of abs!!! But due to neglect on my behalf and having a baby my core has turned to mush. :(
So there are many time when doing core workouts with Turbo Fire that the upper part of my abs cramp up sending me flipping to my stomach to stretch it out all the while screaming "ouch ouch ouch ouch!"
I swear I'm not a sissy
But tonight I was careful. I didn't get to do as many as the DVD was doing, but I did some. And I guess that counts for something right??
As I am sitting here my inner sweet tooth is saying to me "eat eat eat eat!!!"
But my will power to lose this weight is stronger than that so I'll chug my bottle of water instead :)
After I fold the clothes with the hubby, I'll take a nice shower, smelling of Bath and Body Works "Sea Island Cotton".
mmmmmmm yum!!!
Till then, remember, if something is hard, its hard for a reason. As long as you never give up, you my friend are NOT a sissy!!
